Dr Brazg completed medical school in 1980 and immigrated to the US from South Africa in 1986 to pursue further studies in diabetes research and endocrinology. He completed a Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Washington in Seattle, and subsequently entered private practice and remained active in teaching and research activities on faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine. In 1992 he joined Rainier Clinical Research Center, and has been the principal or sub-investigator on over 600 Phase 1-4 clinical trials in the pharmaceutical and device arena.


Over the past 30 years Dr Brazg has held positions including the Medical Director of the Valley Medical Center Diabetes Education Program and Weight Loss Clinic. He has published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals and presented at multiple clinical and research meetings in the field of diabetes, metabolism and diabetes technology.

Dr Brazg is married with two children and a granddaughter, and enjoys spending time with family, traveling and motorcycle touring both across the US and internationally.
