After nearly 20 years of research experience and success in conducting clinical trials, RAINIER CLINICAL RESEARCH CENTER has added a new full-service facility specializing in Phase I and Pharmacokinetic Research.
 
This addition brings a new dimension to the existing clinical operation, with facilities to accommodate research subjects for extended or multiple overnight clinic stays in a safe and comfortable environment.
 
This clinic will help meet the ongoing industry need for sites that can facilitate rapid study initiation and deliver the patient populations that study sponsors are seeking. RAINIER CLINICAL RESEARCH CENTER has conducted several hundred studies and maintains a very large database of subjects available for research for a wide spectrum of indications.
 
The New Phase I & Pharmacokinetic Unit Features
  • Six in-patient hospital beds for overnight stay
     
  • On site blood drawing and processing lab with IATA certified staff
     
  • ACLS certified staff
     
  • Secured access drug room with -70° freezer
     
  • Day clinic equipped with hospital recliners
     
  • Satellite television
     
  • Convenient location just 10 minutes from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
     
  • Seven fully equipped exam room and procedure rooms
     
  • Fax, DSL and wireless internet access
     
  • Located approximately 2 miles from a major medical center
     
  • Patient lounge
     
  • Full kitchen facilities
 
Full Service Clinical Trial Support
  • Staff of full-time, experienced Clinical Research Coordinators including Registered Nurses and Registered Dietitians
     
  • Six monitor work stations with wireless internet access, copier, fax and phone
     
  • Extensive experience with a wide variety of EDC software systems
     
  • Extensive patient database of clinical trial participants in multiple therapeutic areas
     
  • Full-time patient recruitment staff
     
  • Administrative staff to manage budgets, contracts, and regulatory affairs
     
  • Full-time IATA certified Phlebotomy and Lab Technicians
     
  • Protocol design and scientific advisory support
 
Clinical Trial Experience
 
RAINIER CLINICAL RESEARCH CENTER, Inc. was established in 1991 by three board certified endocrinologists who had experience and interest in medical research and the goal of providing state-of-the-art care for their patients. Since its establishment, RAINIER CLINICAL RESEARCH CENTER has conducted several hundred Phase I - IV domestic and international trials for both pharmaceutical and biotech companies. These studies include pharmaceutical compounds and medical devices.

Dr. Ronald Brazg
Ronald L. Brazg, M.D. is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism. He has published research in diabetes and hyperlipidernia and is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine (Endocrinology) at the University of Washington Medical School. He is an active member of the Valley Medical Center research oversight committee and medical director of the diabetes education center.
Leslie Klaff, M.D., Ph.D., F.R.C.P., F.A.C.E.
Clinical Professor of Medicine, Department of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Nutrition, University of Washington.

Dr. Leslie Klaff
Leslie J. Klaff, M.D., Ph.D. F.R.C.P is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is currently a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington. He was a co-investigator in the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT) and is author and co-author of 43 papers and book chapters on diabetes related subjects.

Dr. Allen Sussman
Allen M. Sussman, M.D. is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Washington and has published research in diabetes and endocrinology. He has been a medical advisor to the American Diabetes Association and developed a statewide diabetes teen support program.
