Diabetes Studies

1. We are currently seeking volunteers with Type 2 diabetes and treated with a once daily long acting insulin. This is a study of an investigational oral diabetes medication that is intended to lower blood sugar levels. Two out of three of the participants will switch too the investigational medication and one out of three will remain on their insulin.
    
   Study Length: 6 months and will require 11 appointments
   Target Age: 18 and older
   Stipend: $747 for completion of the study
    
   
            
2. We are currently seeking volunteers with Type 2 diabetes and are currently taking oral diabetes medications. This is a study of an investigational medication that is intended to lower blood sugar levels. Two out of three participants will add the investigational medication and one out of three will add a placebo.

    

   Study Length: 30 weeks and will require 13 appointments
   Target Age: 18 and up
   Stipend: $866 for completion of the study.

    

   

       
3. We are currently seeking volunteers with Type 2 diabetes and treated with a long acting insulin. This is a study of an investigational oral diabetes medication that is intended to lower blood sugar levels. Half of the participants will add the investigational medication and half will receive a placebo.
    
   Study Length: 1 year and 10 appointments
   Target Age: 18 and older
   Stipend: $50 for completion of each visit
    
   
        
4. This is a study for individuals with Type 2 diabetes. Participants in this study can be on any medications for diabetes or controlling their diabetes with diet and exercise. This is a study of an investigational medication that is intended to lower blood sugar levels. Two out of three of the participants will add the investigational medication and one out of three will add a placebo.
    
   Study Length: 2 years and will require 13 appointments
   Target Age: 55-80
   Benefits: All participants will receive study medication, physical exams, and lab work at no cost.
   Stipend: $40 for completion of each visit.
