Diabetes Studies

1. We are currently seeking volunteers with Type 1 diabetes. This is a study of an investigational medication that is intended to improve nerve damage. Four out of five participants will add the investigational medication and one out of five will add a placebo.

    

   Study Length: 3 months and will require 24 appointments
   Target Age: 18 - 56
   Benefits: All participants will receive study medication, physical exams, and lab work at no cost.
   Stipend: $2100 and two $50 gas vouchers for completion of the study.

    

   
3. This is a study for individuals with Type 2 diabetes. Participants in this study must take long and short acting insulin. Participants may also be on Metformin. This is a study of an investigational medication that is intended to lower blood sugar levels. Two out of three of the participants will add the investigational medication and one out of three will add a placebo.
    
   Study Length: 1 year and will require 12 appointments
   Target Age: 18-80
   Benefits: All participants will receive study medication, physical exams, lab work, dietary counseling, glucose meter and test strips at no cost.
   Stipend: $762 for completion of the study.
